ID for alcohol in WDW parks

Apologies if this has been covered before, but I was just wondering what ID people from the UK have been asked for when buying drinks in the Disney parks?

We've got a reservation for Oga's Cantina and I read that guests from outside the UK need to provide a passport plus another form of government-issued ID to buy alcohol. I got in touch with customer services and they've just confirmed this in an email. I queried it as I only own a passport as government-issued ID, therefore I'm assuming it'll be soft drinks only for me.

It's not really a big deal, I can definitely live without alcohol! It just seemed a bit odd to me that a passport isn't enough, especially as we've bought numerous "adult beverages" in Universal with just our passports.

Only ever been asked once in many many years, and a UK driving licence was fine, understand that's not in line with Policy but that's my experience. (I do have photo of passport on phone too)

Thank you, I'd wondered if actual experiences and the policy might differ at all. I can't drive so don't have a license or any other form of ID and figured I can't be the only person from the UK with just a passport as official ID. Like I said, I'm perfectly happy to go without an alcoholic drink, but as we're celebrating a special anniversary would be a shame to miss out!

Just back and didn't get asked for ID once in universal or Disney.- Mainly ordered with meals rather than bars.

Here now and I haven’t been ID-Ed once - I clearly look all of my 39 years!

In the water parks they clearly say that foreign driving licences on their own are not sufficient but they will accept photographs of passports

I went to the Rose and Crown and was served by a British lad once, I showed him my UK driving licence. He said he could not accept that and wanted to see our passports. Luckily I had taken photos of them and he was ok with it!.I questioned why, knowing that he knew what a proper licence looked like and he just stated it was Florida state law.

I've not been asked once, even when buying alcohol in walmart or getting free beer in Sea World 😋
