Gated community villa best for Busch Gardens and Universal trips

Hi, my family and I are thinking of going to Orlando for the second time in August 2014. We will be a party of 5, comprising mum, dad and 19, 14 and 6 year old girls.

We stayed at Windsor Hills at Easter this year (loved it) and did Disney to death so want to do just Universal, Busch Gardens and Seaworld next time round.

Being a big family who all want our own space we think we will get the best value fom a villa. Can anyone recommend a nice gated community with good access links for the Universal and Busch Gardens areas? We were thinking about going with Thomas Cook and one of their AOA deals but I worry that the villa we get from this will not live up to last year's villa (unavailable this year and 2 fewer people going).

Many thanks

Any Champions Gate community will give you quick access to I4 and all the attractions areas including Busch, the beaches and Universal and SeaWorld.

We are currently staying in a villa in westridge which is just up the road from champions gate and am finding it lovely and peaceful here. We have two rooms with double beds and one room with two single beds so unsure if this villa is completely suitable but there is also a sofa bed. There is other villas here that might have better bed arrangements for your party. Very quiet here. Love it

Any of the communities on the 27 have easy access to the I4 which you use for either Busch or Universal

Agree with everyone else that easy access to the I-4 would be best for where you want to visit so anywhere on the US27 or Champions Gate area.

Knowing you want to be in a specific location it really would be best to source the villa yourselves and you will also get better value for money and a far higher standard of accommodation too.

There are some fantastic Dibb villas in both of these locations, although many will already be booked for August 2014, but why not put a request into the villa rental forum along with your dates and 'must have' requirements to see what is available.

We have stayed in Cumbrian Lakes now a few times and it is superb and really easy to get everywhere. It's literally 5 minutes from the 192, easy access to the I4. 5 minutes from a huge Walmart. Easy to get to Disney and Universal and with simple access to the I4 another easy journey to Busch.

If it was me personally I would like to book a villa direct with an owner. I just like knowing exactly what we have booked and what we will be getting on arrival. I wouldn't want to leave the choice of my holiday accommodation to a tour operator. But obviously that's just our personal choice.

Vista Cay Resort may be a nice alternative. You will not have your own pool but condos/townhomes are roomy and nicely appointed, the resort is fantastic, and it is about 3 miles from Universal and
1-1/2 miles to Sea World. From Windsor Hills it is only a 20 minute drive to Universal/Sea World area. Right off of 192 and easy access to I-4 from Windsor Hills so why not consider staying there again since you liked it. But any community off of I-4 will give you easy access to Universal and Sea World.

Bellavida, Lake Berkley or any other gated resorts around Ponciana would suit as easy access to I4 in either direction.

Cheers,
