Saratoga Springs or Carribean Beach?
We're trying to decide between these two for next August? Planning to upgrade to DDP if we choose Carribean Beach anyway so price is very similar once we have taken that into account.
We have two kids (will be 7 and 4.5 when we go). SSR looks lovely but quite 'grown up' and the pools at CBR look nicer to me. Planning to switch to a villa for second week so space isn't that much of an issue on site. Also location... Like the thought that we can walk into DTD from SSR, but what is the transport like to the parks / DTD from CBR? We might get the Magical Express in from the airport and not pick up a car for the first few days... |

I would choose the cheapest!
I think cbr does look more child friendly, and the music in the food court is fun too. There's absolutely nothing wrong with ssr though, plenty of kids there too. I don't think any wdw resort is a bad choice, especially with free food! |

There is only one bed proper bed at SSR and a sofa bed, CBR has two beds, might make a difference to you. On the other hand SSR has a balcony where you could sit on an evening when children are asleep.

When I was looking around at Disney hotels, I had a look at SSR. I thought it was rather drab and boring looking from the pictures I found, to be honest. The theming wasn't my 'thing'. I also didn't like the miles of pathways.
When I was looking for quotes, it turned out I couldn't afford SSR anyway, so it was a bit of a no-brainer. My only choice was CBR or CSR, and CSR only had a king room left.

We've stayed at CBRx2 and SSRx3. There's really no contest. SSR is much nicer. It's really beautiful in real life, with a better location (DTD walkable or by boat) whereas CBR is bus only.
There are loads of nice pools, slides and play areas at both but SSR was more preferred by by kids when they were the age yours are. I'm sure you will love either, but SSR would be my pick

Having been to both with children about that age, I'd pick SSR every time. I found the pools to be better, CBR has the one main pool and plain 'quiet' pools, whereas SSR has more themed pools. You also will have free laundry facilities at SSR, which is a lifesaver when you've got kids too!
