DLP in December

Hello!

I’m going to be 40 this December, and I’m thinking of a trip to DLP to celebrate! We’re looking at Tues 9 - Friday 13 December (inc. travel.)

All going well, we’ll fly from Scotland and get transport directly from CDG. We’re thinking of staying at the Disneyland Hotel. It’ll be just the two of us, no kids.

So, as a DLP newbie:
- How many days would suit a couple?
- Is December weather miserable, or is there still a joyful atmosphere which makes up for it?
- Is it still a case of booking dinner reservations six months out?

I haven’t done anything Disney related since 2017, so feeling very out of the loop!

Thanks!

I've never been in December, the weather is usually the same as the UK.

We usually do 4 or 5 nights. The Disneyland Hotel is really nice, we stayed in 2019 before the refurb, not having to walk far at the end of the day is great!

You can book most restaurants as soon as you book your package, just link your booking ref on your account

DD and I have been quite a lot of times late Nov / Dec, we usually do 3-4 nights. Disneyland park and the Village are gorgeous (it 'snows' on Main Street) and the hotels are decorated - there are also Christmas shows on. It is cold - but fine wearing layers - and the hot chocolate helps; weekdays are definitely far 'quieter' than weekends.

The weather is the one thing putting me off, but I’m hoping it’s better than Scottish weather! Sadly, I can’t justify a trip to WDW where it’ll be warmer 😄

Ah, fab, thanks! Do you ever spend time in Paris itself? Trying to decide if we should have a day or two there beforehand, or ‘just’ go to what we affectionately call ‘the Disney bubble’ 😄

Oh, and hot chocolate always helps!

A couple of times we've had a day in Paris - there's a train from the DLP station to Paris, takes about 30 mins.
