Mobile Avis preferred

I have set up my Avis preferred account, and had my account linked with my BA booking. Do I need to contact BA to let them know I’ve done Avis preferred.
Cheers

I would call them just to be on safe side. I know if you book thru BA first there is a section to enter your preferred number but I always call Avis to double check just to keep my mind at rest

I used Avis for the 1st time a few weeks ago on a fly drive deal to Fort Lauderdale. I rang BA and gave them my Avis prefered membership number and they added it to my booking whilst i was on the phone. The 1st time you use Avis you will have to go to the prefered desk to show them your credit card and license, after that you should just be able to head to the garage to collect your car next time you use Avis.

You can go straight to the kiosk in the garage if you have Avis preferred even 1st time. Your name will just not be on the board. If you go to desk in airport you’ll be there forever.

Agree with this. Just make sure that your credit card & licence is saved onto the Avis app and you will be good to do. We’re on our 4th Avis booking & the first time I forgot to change the credit card over as the old one expired & they told us at the desk in Miami that had the card been in date we could have gone straight to the garage
