Extra DDP credits?

We travel on Friday, staying for 2 weeks in Saratoga Springs with DDP. One of the people in our room isn’t travelling until the following Friday. Will we get the extra dining credits? She has a 2 week ticket so I assume a 2 week DDP? I didn’t tell them she wasn’t joining us until later

That's a strange one, was she on the original booking for 14 nights? The ticket is irrelevant, as you had to buy one to get the dining so whether it was 5 or 21 you would need to have it IYKWIM. If added after & only for 7 nights, I'm not sure the system is set up for different "plans" in the same room so whilst common sense would say, if the latter, then only 7, I suspect 14

We had this back in 2017 (although on the end of the trip rather than the beginning) with my parents departing 4 days before the rest of us). Net result 8 more TS, QS and 16 more snack credits. The TS allowed a couple more breakfasts and an extra signature restaurant, while we barely made a dent in the extra snack credits (meaning most were spent in the resort shop on two tonnes of candy to take home.)

Potentially will be doing the same again next year (with the extra days on the start of the trip) but will depend if we go in August or October.)

Yes everyone on the original booking will get credits for the full length of stay

If she’s not on your original booking she wouldn’t get any.

If they are booked in for the full 14 nights they will get 14 nights credits

Yes. Credits are per room so you will have extra to spend.

We added her after we’d already booked but were told she would have the exact same entitlement as us with regards to DDP. She then booked her flight and decided to only come for a week

if she is on your booking and she has a ticket linked to your booking then she should have the same allowance as everyone else regardless of how long she actually stays for. So if she arrives later or leaves early the credits total allocated to her remains the same Credits are pooled for the room so her allowance for the week she isn't there will be on your room credit total and you can use them.

Yes credits are per he room - we had a 21 night stay at Beach Club in 2014 but eldest flew home after 7 days to get her A-level results which meant we had loads of spare credits = and lots of 2 credit meals for us
