Best way to transfer from Orlando to Sarasota

Hi there, I'm travelling to Sarasota on the third part of our Aug / Sept 2020 three week holiday next year and am wondering on the best way to transfer.

The first and second part of our holiday we are at Disney and Universal so dont need a hire car.

Travelling from Universal to Sarasota, staying there for 6 days and in reality wont need a vehicle during that period.

Would you hire a car for 6 days to get you from Orlando to Sarasota and finally to the airport or would you Uber or Lyft for those 2 journeys?

What do you recommend?

I would 100% hire a car if you can drive. It is an awfully long way for an Uber. I can't imagine not needed a car in Sarasota either. Are you just planning on staying at a resort the whole time? There is plenty to see in the surrounding area and the driving isn't difficult at all there.

Yes, agree with PP. Sarasota is hard to get around with out a car unless you are in a beachfront hotel and don't plant to see the environs.

thanks both, thinking about it I think you are right about the car, we are staying near St Armands Circle but it makes sense to have the ability to explore the area.

Before Sarasota I'm Staying in Universal Endless Summer resort so I will source a car hire company close to there.

thanks again!

Driving over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge is an experience in itself.

Can only echo the comments above, get a car for that segment of your trip.
