Introduction...

Hi

This is the Index for our mini-trip to PortAventura (Salou) during October half-term 2017. If you don't know me and / or you are interested in how this trip came about, the pre-trippie is here...

Pre-Trippie

We’ve been home from our mini adventure for 2 months now. To be honest, I thought that I’d have had this trippie written up and posted by now, but instead we’ve been spending our weekends either chilling out, or getting ready for Christmas. Also, I had a few challenges downloading my photos from my phone to my laptop, but that’s finally sorted.

Once Christmas started to get closer, knowing that I had time off work between Christmas and New Year (for the first time in my working life), I decoded that I would use the time to post this as a whole. As it’s already Friday 29th, I’m not sure if I’ll manage to get the whole thing before I go back to work on Tuesday, but I’m going to try.

Luckily, I made lots of notes and took loads of pics 😊

Travel Day - Monday 23rd October

Sorry, I failed to get the last day done over Christmas, and the last month has flown by again - here it finally is...

Thanks for reading. I hope you get to go one day, it's great value for money and ideal as it's fairly local (well, more local than Florida)

Just spotted this. Thanks for writing it up.

DH, DS & myself are off to Barcelona on Friday for 5 nights for DHs 40th birthday and we are planning a day trip to Port Adventura. Good to see how much you fitted in to each day.

DS is 10 and 138.5cm tall. He is very much hoping that with his new Nike Air trainers he will be able to get onto the big rollercoasted with a 140cm min height limit!

I hope you have a great trip and that DS makes it onto the rides. Tom tried on a pair of Air Max today and the heels were so chunky, at least 2cm

Thanks for this we wanted to do PA this summer but been priced out however just noticed we could get a week in October for a reasonable price so giving it serious consideration now

October is great. Still nice and warm, low crowds and fabulous Halloween theming.

Yes, a lot of the restaurants etc are closed for the season, but there are still plenty of good choices - we'd happily eat at Road House every night
