March/April 2019 QSDP for 21 nights... here we go :) Live

I am not generally a writer. My writing style can be very sporadic so I will try and keep it as simple as possible.

and the kids I am going to call them by Disney character names

Travel

We flew from Manchester and after a slightly delayed transfer we got there in good time.
There was a 4 hour delay on the flight.

The flight food menu:

I had the chilli as did A. G and J went for the pasta and DH for the chicken.
A pic of my the chilli:

It was really tasty and for plane food I thought was pretty good A also enjoyed it the pasta was left they really didn't like it (they are very fussy. And Dh thought the chicken was ok (he doesn't like mushrooms so that's pretty good really

They then came around with prezels with the drinks

A little later came a fab (sorry no pic lol)

We then got an afternoon tea with a seeded cheese sandwich and a scone jam and cream.
Not the best but filled a hole.

After the delay and a massive immigration queue, we arrived at our resort CBR at around midnight US time so all the food courts were closed.
We checked in I think the girl who checked me in was pretty new but lovely. I had to request our magic bands because she forgot.
Bell services took us to our room via a van which was great
Also not food related but I requested to opt out of cleaning and was given $200.

The kids were exhausted apart from J who had a nap on the plane but they settled quickly. The next day is going to be a rush as we have a BOG breakfast booked in for 8AM

We have our credits loaded so we currently have:
210 QS credits
210 Snack credits

Yay! A food report.

Such a shame about your delay but getting there safely is the important thing.

Following along 😃

I'm not surprised after your delay and lste arrival, but just write it up as and when you can. That's what I did, and sometimes there was a couple of days between updates, but I always caught up. I found I really enjoyed doing it but the hardest thing at the start was remembering to take photos of the food before we started eating!
Oh, I really hope the fruit tart is still available🤞

Magic Kingdom.
We got up early and I had to go to guest services as I realised that the CM hadn't got me to tie a PIN to my account.
Even though we waited for a bus an hour before our reservation we arrived 8 minutes late to our reservation.
We booked a BOG to get through the lines quickly but soon realised that it was EMH so not really a benefit to us however we really enjoyed it it was a great start to our holiday.

I shared the cronut with J and A and G also shared a cronut.

DH had Feast ala Gaston and J had a bit of that as well.

I ordered a Bellini but ended up giving it to DH (it was a bit strong for me lol)

And got the pastries

We all really enjoyed it. Even though we only ordered 3 meals it was still way too much food and delicious although I would not pay for it OOP I think it came to a total of $84

3QS credits used.

We were at the magic carpets so I had to get that pineapple upsidedown cake I had seen everywhere:

This did not live up to expectations imo. It was okay. Definitely large enough to share but I probably won't get it again.

1 snack credit

We then went to Plaza ice cream parlor and got :
A brownie sundae

and an ice cream sandwich:

2 snack credits

We separated for lunch because I don't like hot dogs.

DH and G shared a macaroni footlong at Caseys:
(stock image sorry)
A and I had chicken nuggets and a lemonade slush from Cosmic rays:
again stock image

J wasn't hungry and just ate a few fries.

2 QS credits

We didn't manage it all even though we shared.

We then went to Epcot specifically for 2 things firstly the popcorn bucket (maple popcorn from Canada)
OOP $10

A wanted the cotton candy from the China pavilion but the queue was 1 hour long so that will have to wait.

We got back and went to centre town.
It doesn't really cater for beige eaters lol.
I got the Tacos (this was tasty but a bit too spicy for me )

DH had burger and really enjoyed it:

The kids shared ours and had peperonni pizza:

They hated this (although we usually eat thin crusts).

I also had the tropical colada. I don't usually drink but this was gorgeous and DH had a Corona.

I offered them something else maybe some more nuggets lol but they were full so we came back.
3qs used.

We picked up our cups (they didn't have much choice of colours):

I know people say there is way too much food on the plan but there really is. All the meals had food left over as it is loads of food.

Total credits used today
8 QS credits
3 snack credits

We are going to HS today so now going to be a live report hopefully now I have caught up

Looks like you had a good day, and have quickly discovered that you're going to have plenty of credits and food. We find it very liberating to be able to get what we want, whenever we want, without worry about cost and running out of credits as we never have in 5 trips.
Love the ice cream options from the Plaza. They're very filling though. Are you planning on trying Sleepy Hollow at all? I love the fruit and Nutella waffle there. It's not a snack credit, bit you can use a QS credit and get a drink with it. Not the best value, but when you've got so many to use, you don't really need to worry about that do you? Plus, it's yummy!

Shame that the kids didn't like the pizza at CBR. Do you think you'll get over to Spyglasses Grille at all?

Hope you have a good day at HS and manage to get the fruit tart

One of my fruit tarts from 2017. Hopefully they're still available and look just as good!

I thought the pineapple cake would be nice ☹️ If you want refills for the popcorn the stand outside peck bills sometimes has the maple one .
