'Ohana - help me decide!

So we have a 6:20pm reservation for 'Ohana next week that I'm tempted to cancel. We've been before & had ridiculously long waits (over an hour) which is going to be hard with a 1 and 2 year old. I'm umming and ahhing over what to do, there are a few other places with availability but we reallllly like it there. What would you do?

I would stick with ohana’s. It’s so good. We went twice last time and were seated within 10 minutes both times.

Last two times we went we had a really long wait to be seated and, except for dessert, the food was disappointing. We wont be going again - so many other nice places to try

I’ve never understood the love for Ohana, we ate there for breakfast and dinner and were underwhelmed for both.
There was too much meat and not enough of everything else for dinner and the servers were hard to attract the attention of.
At breakfast, booked specifically for the characters, we had to practically beg Mickey and Pluto to come to our table as they were going to miss us out completely. Oh and the food was poor as well.

It’s unusual to wait that long. Ohana has the benefit that the kids can get up and join in the coconut races.

We love ohana, we didn’t manage to get a reservation last time or this time, not for lack of trying.
We had such a great time before I’m afraid of going again and it not living up to expectations - late seating (30 mins) but we got a window view of the castle and fireworks, fantastic food and drinks. I’d keep it.

I would stick with ‘Ohana. We had a lovely meal there last year and didn’t wait at all.

We’ve decided not to return. I think we’ve been five times, first time was great, but the experience has dropped a little each time. Our last experience was that the service was wanting - I actually felt that they believed they were doing us a favour by serving us. The food was not as good as it used to be either. Also felt like we were dining with the tables next to us, they were so close Wasn’t a disaster, but enough negatives to put us off.

As you say you've enjoyed it I would definitely keep it. I think you might have just been unlucky having to wait that long.
