Will We Actually Get There 2019 - Day 3 - Pool Day

Now I know many of you like to make the most of being up early on the first day to hit the park but we have always liked a restful first day to get over the travelling, particularly as DD was poorly yesterday.

So we were up early as is normal on the first day, uncle and mum were up first at about 4.30am, I made it to 5am, DD & DH up at 5.30am, BIL and auntie managed about 6.30am.

DD was in the pool, supervised by my uncle at 6.30am, it was lovely and warm, apparently.

When I eventually managed to drag her out of the pool we got dressed and headed out for breakfast. It's a tradition we always go to Ponderosa for the buffet breakfast on our first morning so that's what we did. I know a lot of people don't rate it, but we quite like a cheap and cheerful buffet. After pigging out we had a wander around the gift shop next door where DD bought a Cinderella doll. We then headed back to the villa and dropped off DD, DH and BIL.

The rest of us then headed to Walmart to do a big shop. We got essentials for breakfasts and also some BBQ stuff to have for tea tonight. We did notice that the prices had increased quite a lot since last time. We got a trolley full of stuff including 3 bottles of wine and 2 big packs of beer and think we spent about $280.

We headed back to the villa and spent the rest of the day by or in the pool.

We cooked on the BBQ for tea and ate in. We weren't late to bed think about 10ish, DD earlier about 8.30ish.

Ready for first park tomorrow.

During our 2016 trip we didn’t do anything thus first day and it worked well. 2017 we did a park instead and it caused some tantrums from our kids. So our next trip will be back to a restful first day!
