Mobile Has anyone tried a Low FODMAP diet

Hi just wondering if anyone has tried the Low FODMAP diet for IBS?
There are a few books about and was wondering what is the best one?
I just want to understand the foods to avoid and try ease my IBS.

There’s an app you can download from Monash university (who have done a lot of research into FODMAPs). I think it’s about £7 but worth it.

Just be aware that if you do start to restrict foods to identify what may be a trigger you shouldn’t restrict permanently all foods (unless of course it is a trigger).

I found that tomatoes are one of my triggers through doing it!

I looked into it but found it quite overwhelming. I did try to cut out some groups then reintroduced but didn't identify any triggers.
I ended up trying intolerance testing a couple of weeks ago . I'm still sceptical but it did supposedly identify 3 foods which I've now cut out.
Though I do know stress is a big trigger for me.

I really would ask your gp for a referral to a dietician.it can be a little overwhelming to do it yourself.

I've done Low fodmap and I cant have dairy and various random things.

Thanks I think I’ve found one trigger which is ice cream so will cut that out, I may go to the GP and maybe just use the food chart for starters.
