Jurassic Park Ride

Hi,

Can someone clarify this for me all the articles I am reading are confusing me.

Is the new Jurassic park ride in Orlando simply a revamp of River Journey or is it a completely new ride?

Also do we know about opening dates as it seems for Hollywood that it is this summer

Both for Orlando. There are rumours of a new Raptor themed coaster and also a revamp of the River Journey to Jurassic World I believe. They've started clearing trees and laying the foundations for the coaster already. Tim Tracker has done a few vlogs about it recently.

The Jurassic Park ride in Orlando is not changing at the moment, only in Hollywood. But they are indeed adding a new Jurassic World rollercoaster in Orlando.

Supposedly it will be a more thrilling coaster to make up for the replacement of Dragon Challenge with a more family focused coaster. Though I don't know how reliable that rumour actually is.

The one in Orlando is a completely new ride. It'll be a thrilling rollercoaster. However, Universal has not announced this yet.

The "new" Jurassic World boat ride at Hollywood is just a revamp of the old Jurassic Park boat ride.

At the moment, the River Journey boat ride in Orlando is not being revamped like the one in Hollywood - although it's possible it might be sometime in the future. But I suspect any revamp won't happen before the new ride opens.

The current JP boat ride in Orlando is still open, yes. It’s a great ride.

We rode it in June last year and it’s still broken, a dinosaur knocked us offline and sent us through the raptor enclosure 😱😱😱

Is that still happening?! That happened to us as well. We also almost got eaten by a T-Rex! I had considered complaining to someone when I got off about our unforeseen - and dangerous - detour but was too shaken and wet(!).

I also wish Disney would fix that track at the top of the mountain on Expedition Everest. I bet it's still all twisted and broken.
