Does anyone have the exact location of this resort at all? Google Maps doesn't show it at the moment.

Ignore my question. I looked on Disney's website to see exactly where it's located.

For those that don't know or aren't sure then I've attached a map below...

I assume the dues being $8.31 are in part due to the Owners at Riviera having to pay for the maintenance of the Gondolas as a percentage of its overall usage.

Well I'm hoping it's that, and not them anticipating the wage rises and all other resorts being about to follow suit...

I was just thinking the same thing.

I'm not confident, I think we're going to see some painful dues rises coming

After we do our hopefully GV trip next near I think I'll routinely rent out 100 points or so to take the sting out of the dues cost, assuming they don't find a way to stop renting...

This link to DVCNews gives one of the easiest to read charts ref every Resort and the dues year on year. Quite disconcerting.

dvcnews/index.php/dvc-pr...dues-by-resort

I have already in my mind boxed off a 75c increase per Point for SSR. Hopefully I am way off the mark but I lay odds I'm not far off.

They already said last year at the member's meeting that there will be another big increase this year to cover the ever increasing wages- going up to $15 an hour- not bad for unskilled work.
Yes Tom I think they have loaded gondola costs on the resort also- very clever as they get members to pay a proportion of the new transport system.
There is a rumour it may eventually be extended to SSR and AKL- hopefully they'll put it in Disney Springs otherwise we could be the next ones subsidising it.

Gondolas are supposed to be much cheaper to run than buses. Currently the transportation portion of the dues for DRR is the highest of any resort. Hopefully it's just temporary until they get the exact costs to run it. Otherwise the decision to build the gondolas is foolish.

Not sure when it was loaded onto the resort availability booking tool but it's now showing up under Disney’s Riviera Resort — Projected to Open in December 2019.

The calendar list's the first booking day for the 16th Dec and the Tower studio is already booked out for the 16th and 19th Dec.
