The power cut and announcements were just laughable, the other 2 slept through the lights coming back on. It could have been worse 5 minutes earlier we were in the lift.
Oh no that would have been worse, lucky you were in your room.

I'm sure you're right we definitely don't look old

All in all great travel day...feel sorry for hubbie dropping you off! Great to see Rosen Plaza. We stayed there on our honeymoon in 2001. It was the beginning of our addiction to Florida! Looking forward to reading the rest of your reports!

I do like the Rosen Plaza, we are there again in the summer.

I think DH was thinking he would be glad of the peace but in reality I'm pretty sure he missed us. Don't feel too sorry for him though he gets to come next time and is off to Belgium in June.

Good travel day.

I thought it was odd we had to go through security at gatwick when we had already done it at Manchester too.

Thanks. Is it just Gatwick that can't organise connections do you think?

Goodness me, how can you have posted Day 7 and I’ve missed the entire thing!?

Great that you could check your luggage straight through. We aren’t keen on going via GAT as find the connection on the way home hell when all you want to do is sleep, but you can’t really argue with the price of it versus direct.

I often find airline’s sandwich filling choices questionable, so many things that I feel are either love it or hate it, but hot smoked salmon and cucumber takes the biscuit. It sounds tasty though! It was very nice of the air hostess to source a veggie sandwich for DF. I am going to refrain from commenting on the food now and save it for the food trippie.

I think it’s lovely you have an after-dinner board game. My nephew (6) and I like to play Frustration, we have a Disney Princess version. My niece just turned 2 and she is desperate to play along, she can ‘pop’ the dice using two hands and all of her body weight, it is very, very cute and she has a canny knack of getting sixes! Much to her sore loser brother’s despair.

45 minutes including grabbing luggage isn’t too bad, always nice to read about a smooth travel day

Thanks for posting. I'm only far ahead because I wrote most of it on the plane. I have a whole list of reports to read but life gets in the way.

We've never flown direct, I've never seen a price that can compete with indirect. Dh would not be keen to drive back from Glasgow anyway. Which airport do you normally fly from if you are in Dundee?

Love Frustration, it's on the cards for tonight. I took an old Toy Story version into my classroom and taught some of the kids how to play, it's the new must play golden time game. I can imagine lots of trouble between your niece and nephew once shes big enough to give him a run for his money!

We've been going from Glasgow with Thomas Cook the last few years, once we'd gone direct once we were hooked and I keep paying the silly money. We're doing TUI for the first time next year so excited to see how flying into Sanford is.

My preference would be to fly from Edinburgh as it's a much easier drive back to Dundee. We've done EDI-GAT-MCO and EDI-EWR-MCO in the past.
