How long were you planning on being in Sri Lanka for?

I did a cracking trip over 3 weeks that included a week split stay in Cambodia, and 2 weeks south to north Vietnam.

If going for less time though I'd recommend Vietnam

She's looking at the possibility of changing to Malaysia or Cambodia / Vietnam, I'm so pleased I used her now!

Wherever you end up have a lovely holiday. My son and his girlfriend were planning to stop off in Sri Lanka from our family holiday later this year, so they are now looking elsewhere as well.

Thank you, ours is more confusing because of DD being in Thailand and meeting us there, which is exactly why I used an agent, she's certainly earning her money!

Agree, never been but it looks and sounds stunning - I work with some Sri Lankans and it was a Sri Lankan waiter on holiday in 2017 who convinced us to go there, just made it sound stunning and his passion for his country was wonderful
