.

On our recent trip all those questions like ‘where are you staying’ ‘any food items’ and ‘how much cash’ were all done at immigration. No forms at all.

We have not filled in a customs form on our last 4 trips! That has been at McCoy and Miami. If you use the machine the questions are on there. 🤔

Filled in a Customs decleration form last Sept but was only one per household with the normal questions about how much cash are you bringing in and if you have any fruit or veg

A couple of years ago we just filled out the customs form, sounds like that’s changed now also😎

In Feb 2015 the US announced F6059b Customs Dec would be superfluous by years end 2016, but as with most officialdom it took longer at certain airports, I believe all airports have now ceased F6059b. Immigration now question travellers re cash/food imports.

Most, not all, Chicago O'Hare for example (bro/sis used kiosk 12th April at O'Hare), have closed their kiosks, all must queue for an IO desk as they now use biometric cameras. Those who've travelled fairly recently (? circa last 2 or 3 years?) won't need to supply finger prints as part of the biometric system.

Haven't completed F6059b since Nov 2016 and last Nov we were introduced to biometrics by a very pleasant IO who, as no pax were waiting, explained why kiosks were defunct/the biometric system.
