Do you have an Amazon Echo or similar?

If so, set up random alarms on it reminding him of specific tasks to do

My husband flew home a week early from our holiday last summer, I came home to three walls down some extra windows and a bi-fold door.. I was happy with that :-)

We do, and that would be hilarious, especially if I could record my own voice so while I'm away he would suddenly get me reminding him put the dishwasher on etc. Not sure I'd have a marriage to come back to though!

I like the sound of this but don’t have enough time to get it set up

We don’t do this but always have a loud conversation in the taxi to the airport about wondering if the “kids” will look after the house whilst we’re away.
A policeman friend advised us many years ago not to let taxi drivers know the house is going to be empty. I don’t mean to be horrid to taxi drivers, my BIL is one, the vast majority I know are fine, no harm in being careful though

Our Daughter gave us an Echo thingy for Xmas even though we told them we didn't want anything.

Been in the box ever since.

Tom just wait till the kids ask right who’s got memory loss issues with all these flipping notes and lists everywhere well all except no2son
He’s his mothers child gets great joy from ticking things off his list or adding something on that wasn’t there when he’s done it just to score it off

Out of sight out of mind! I am always going away without OH, and as soon as I leave I really dont care if the house is locked, not locked, kids fed or not fed, and if he can feed himself or not. Diet will do him good lol!

Enjoy your trip it sounds like a fab plan. I can think of worse cults to join!
