Flydrive Car Hire - Anyone just not pick car up?

Hi has anyone just not collected car hire before? And is it just don't go to car hire or should you let someone know at airport that you want be requiring the car? Booked Tui flydrive but now not waiting the car part. Any help would be appreciated. Liz

We did this last year with Virgin. In fact I think lots of people do it. It was cheaper to book a car elsewhere than pay Virgins insurance. Didn't even mention it at the garage. I am sure they are used to it.

Just noticed your countdown-hope you have an amazing holiday !

Haven't done it before but will be doing it in August. We normally book flight only but got a flydrive in the Jan sale that was £100 cheaper. We've booked our own car with Alamo Brits for considerably less than the Tui insurance. We'll just head to Alamo and ignore the Tui booking

Done this before with TUI & Virgin when fly-drives are cheaper than just flights and when the insurance charges have been higher than Car & Insurance for another supplier. Never informed them I wasn't collecting the car . It's not new , I must have first done this 15 years ago .
BA are usually good because I find the fly-drives are frequently cheaper (than just flights) and the car includes good enough insurance .

Yes I’ve done this before couple of years ago. I’m currently looking at doing it again next year as flydrive is sane price as just the flights and VH have just offered the use of the lounge.
