I don't think anyone gets to where Phillip Scofield has by being too nice.
I've seen the "camera is on me switch on ...camera is off me switch off" too often with celebs to be surprised , I suspect Ant MacParton is pretty much the same too although I've never met him just get that same vibe.
One I expected to be like that but isn't is John Barrowman. Lovely bloke . Sandy Toksvig once said to me that she watched Donny Osmond when they did Graham Norton together and "He was as nice to the person who brought him a glass of water as he was to the director ... and in this business that's rare" and I'd guess she should know !

I was amazed at how unfriendly and aloof he was, he totally avoided talking to the children and acted like some Hollywood star. Sarah Green however, and Trevor and Simon were beyond nice and went out of their way to talk to their adoring fans. I can appreciate people can change with age, but I’ve never felt the same about him since!

He's lovely... ever since as a really little girl I heard Puppy Love. Hes not Cliff though...

I think everyone is human and with that we all can have our moments . Yet some seem to make a habit of it like Amanda Holden, friend was a runner on BGT and loved the experience and judges bar her. She was 'up herself and incapable of being polite ' .
I have met Phil a couple of times, he is a genuine lovely guy . I didn't know about a spat with Holly but she clearly has his back given his tweet at the weekend.
He has clearly worked very hard to get where he is.

Wow had totally the opposite experience with him twice ..

Daughter was in Joseph at the London Palladium with Philip Schofield and she loved him, said he was lovely to all of them. Met Donny & Marie Osmond coming off a flight from the US and they were both lovely to everyone. Really nice people. Incidentally, Sandi Toksvig is also really nice, I’m a friend of her sister Jen.

Love Sandi , she's bright and funny and yes Marie is a sweetheart too.
