I was drenched on BTMR too, and it wasn't painful - only as Trump would put it, very wet. That said on a faster coster it could be painful I guess...

great stuff, i've ridden stealth at Thorpe Park (one of those launch coasters) in the rain and it was really bad.

Maybe the slower ones are more enjoyable.

get the rain coat on and smile.

:-)

We were on Mako at Seaworld and it started raining just as we got to the top. I can definitely say that it hurts but at the same time it was brilliant

Back in 2010 we were front row on the last train of the Hulk coaster to be dispatched before they closed it due to rain. It felt like being stabbed in the face a thousand times! We bought the ride picture as we looked that awful!

We did Everest in the rain at the after hours party the other week. It had been pouring it down but eased off so we thought we'd chance it. As we were going round it started again and everyone came off drenched. It was a great experience though

Interesting! I also want to ride a roller coaster on a rainy day.

We rode BTM in torrential rain. It was hilarious as everyone came of dripping head to toe. Lots more smiles and laughter than usual! Added to the experience as we knew we would soon dry off.

We have done the Hulk in the rain, I wouldn’t do it again as it was so painful, like having loads of needles in your face. I didn’t enjoy the ride as I couldn’t wait for it to end.

lightening within a certain radius will close down outside rides for obvious reasons.

some rides can run in the rain - i think it depends on the manufacturer and design. Cold weather can affect some rides too - i think the hulk can have problems with cold weather
