An excellent takeaway is still possible to find!
Had a Indian takeaway with my mum this evening to celebrate Mothers Day, and we ordered from the brilliant one down the road which is possibly my favourite one I've tried.
We had chicken korma, which was creamy, coconutty and absolutely delicious, chicken biryani with vegetable curry (which for some reason came out really spicy!), a cauliflower bhaji which was the only weak point because some bits of cauliflower weren't nice at all and to go with, half a peshwari naan each. Top grub, and made especially better with the addition of a cold bottle of mixed fruit cider. Maybe we're just really lucky to have decent takeaways, our local Chinese is really good too. |

What does a takeaway for 2 people cost nowadays?

Think it cost about £25ish? Not too bad, there was plenty of food to go round.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad takeaway...

I love Indian food but we really struggle for a good restaurant or takeaway close to home. That said, if we head 15 miles north there is a good one. There’s also a new one 15 miles south which I’d like to try.
I usually find Indian food better in England, more competition I guess.

We drive 15-20 minutes away to a fab takeaway. Simla in Nelson.
The chicken is real chicken, not bought in cubes full of water. The carton is full on meat, not just sauce. I like a Chicken Malaya, my husband has something spicier. We share a naan and a pilau rice and it came to £15.70 (he's put his price up recently). A previous member of parliament used to go there. I like a glass of something sparkly to go with it. |

Goodness me. I didn't know they were that dear. Mind you I haven't even bought a bag of chips since 2011!

We moved to North Milton Keynes a year ago and find the takeaways here really poor
Have to say I prefer a £10 M&S Indian or Asian meal day nowadays! Better quality than a lot of takeaways. And as I'm tight the price appeals. |

We have the best delivered food.
Our neighbour is originally from Lahore and is a stunningly fabulous cook and a wonderful person. She always cooks too much for family meals so delivers plates of delicious food to us! We are so lucky. Edited at 03:14 PM. |
