DVC Gold pass now $699 17% jump in price!

DVC Gold pass went up last night, a new pass is now $699 plus tax.

Gotta pay for Starwars somehow eh!

Ouch! I wonder what the upgrade cost will be from 14 Day Ultimates? We're going to be upgrading when we're back home in November.

I am in same position, basically add another $90 onto the figure you thought it was!

In my head I Think about $200-250

Only another $360 for my family- jeez. I was going to upgrade my ticket to an AP at Christmas, and go back next summer tagged onto a trip on West Coast, and Dallas- Don't think I'll bother now. May go to HHI instead.

It could be worse if you were an out of State person non DVC owner:

Platinum Plus $1219 ($994)
Platinum $1119 ($894)

Suppose question will be- will it put a lot of people off and reduce attendance.

Never have the UK tickets looked so good. Maybe they'll be going up soon.

Edit- Gold Passes also excluded from Galaxy's Edge preview, and as of yet, no indication DVC will get a preview- seems unlikely- if not a big turnaround to last year when Toy Story opened.

The film Florida Project comes to mind- you know if you have seen it, the theme that the poor simply cannot afford to attend, that is just a dream now (dream sequence at the end). Even moderate earners are priced out now.

Those are some serious price hikes!

Glad I renewed mine 2 days ago.

I doubt it's designed to reduce attendance, more likely to cash in as quickly as possible for as much as possible on the star wars hype.

Thankfully I won't be there for any soft openings of SWGE so I won't be tempted to upgrade to the Platinum!

Can anyone see the renewal prices? I've tried looking but because I'm not due to renew yet it won't show me.
