Alamo or Hertz at Orlando int?

Hi,

I have a booking with VHOLS for next Easter which includes a Full SIze SUV from Alamo. However I can get a Full Size SUV or Premium SUV from Hertz for cheaper (about £200 cheaper). So thinking of cancelling the Vhols car hire with Alamo and booking Hertz direct.

However I've never rented through Hertz before. Anyone have experience at Orlando of what they are like and what their car stock is generally like?

I like the Skip the Counter at Alamo (which I did in Tampa this year), and previously rented Avis Preferred, with one year being great, and the second time they seemed to not be aware of me, struggled to find a car and then brought an old tatty thing up from Budget. Wasnt happy with that.

Hertz have a gold scheme which allows you to go kiosks in garage your car is allocated and on a board saying which .
Then off you pop.
Hertz now ranked higher than Alamo ref.JD Power.
Other than choosing your car Alamo offer nothing different from Hertz so 200 quids a fair few drinkies as long as you don't buy them in parks.
Enjoy.

Thanks. Happy to sign up to the Gold membership, did the same with Avis and worked well going straight to kiosk. However does that still work at Hertz if it is your first rental?

Our first Hertz rental was through Expedia and we went staight to the garage and no one said anything. They have mini-offices in the garages - they're more than kiosks.

The car being on the board thing has never once worked for us - well, twice it's been on the board, but tagged on at the end, with the space being in the other garage as if they were taking the Michael! Once they brought the car over, the other time they just allocated another car.
