What pick up times are you setting? As when DW did our quote it was cheaper that the one I did when I set as pick up and drop off both set as 12 - she did 10:00 and 10:30. For a 11 days hire she was nearly £20 cheaper (from WDW Dolphin)

I've done exactly the same - it was nearly £40 more last week when I looked so grabbed it while it was cheaper

Hi

Tried different pick up times they alter slightly by £27 but prices are still high.

Luckily got quite a bit of time yet so will sit tight and wait

Hi,
I work in the car hire industry and recommend whenever you see a good price you are willing to pay then book it it's a bit like flights - they will be tracking their reservations and they will know how many cars they have available and the more reservations they take they will start to put prices up.

Sometimes prices may fall closer to your holidays [always check in the run up to your holiday] but more often than not they increase especially if you are travelling at a popular time of year.

Just booked for feb 2015 with Virgin Car Hire (Alamo) a Ford Escape for £150. Alamo Brits wanted £220 so heads up if you're still looking
