Mediterranean Magic Munchies - Day Before
Introductions,
This is our very late (mainly food) report of our first cruise with DCL. We cruised on the last 7nt Med cruise on the Magic last year. We being; Myself - foodie, chief planner and wonder mother. DH- Fellow foodie and moaning daddy. (dibber:birchoid) DD - (5) loves Disney, especially frozen. DS - (1) first of many Disney holiday experiences. Travel Day We travelled down to the Premier Inn at Birmingham Airport and had great service. The lady at the check out even printed off our return boarding passes, really great staff. We ate from the hotel restaurant, Thyme, but we had it in our room, as our DS was teething and tired. So we ordered, Thyme Restaurant Camembert, Corn on cob, Breadsticks, Chicken wings, Garlic mushrooms, Duck parcles & Tempura prawns. Me Gammon and Egg, simple but executed well. The general consensus was that the chips were excellent, triple fried I believe. Matt The Ultimate burger I think it was. Matt was very impressed, particularly with the welsh rarebit cheese topping. DS Fish finger kids meal, I believe these were free? No complaints from him. DD Lasagne kids meal, she really enjoyed this meal and ate it all. Matt thought he may need a little something to get him in the holiday spirit: We generally just spent our time trying to keep the children calm and get them to sleep. However we found our family room very comfortable and we will definitely stay here again. End of day before.

DCL Magic - Travel Day
Travel Day
We flew with Ryan Air, which was fine but we were very aware it was a budget flight. Can't complain too much, as it was a smooth flight and only two hours to Barcelona. Started to get excited here! We could hardly contain our excitement when we first saw the beautiful Disney Magic. And after waiting approximately two hours in the departure port, we finally got aboard the ship. Obligatory family welcome done and we were on the hunt for two things. 1) Access to our room (we had a very tired and cranky teething toddler, and 2) FOOD we were hungry! breakfast was just some mullerlight so as you can imagine the hunger had (and subsequent snappiness) had definitely set in.
