No, I don't think it's strange and I understand what you are saying.

I'm an animal person, find wildlife and nature so interesting so AKL would be amazing for us.

You would have to drag me kicking and screaming to POFQ! We moved rooms 5 times in 2 weeks this November just gone and would not choose to stay here again. I've never experienced 'power flushing toilets' before... that was an experience.

We have never stayed at POR so that is still a contender.

We did the same - booked a standard view and had a very very similar room view!

For me I would jump at AKL for that price, it is just amazing.

Oh dear - sorry to hear about the toilet issues!

Given that you are a wildlife person then I would say that AKL would be a dream come true for you and not like anywhere else you can stay (apart from visiting Africa!) so maybe you should go with there

I have to admit that the boat from PO to Disney Springs was wonderful, especially on a nice sunny afternoon.

I much prefer the overall layout and feel of POR, nothing against AK, but I prefer to visit, for instance for Sanaa, rather than stay there. I found it a bit isolated whereas POR has a bit more of the Disney hustle & bustle about it. Both great.
