Not somewhere i've ever been but hubby is doing a Marathon there in October. Will be looking for somewhere local to stay, preferably self catering. Can anyone recommend somewhere?

There's quite a few B & Bs I think I've seen we've stayed at the haven site there before but was a few years back think it's called golden sands... In October if you walk off the site across the road you might get to see all the seals on the sand banks.
Also in October if you ever did stay there get a top of the range caravan for the heating makes a world of difference... tin box on wheels and cold nights= nightmares lol

Haven Golden Sands is a lovely caravan site and I'd highly recommended it. It's a short walk in to town or you can catch a land train. There is also a seal sanctuary over the road which is really nice.
