As far as I can see they have put in plans for the waterways under the resort and nothing is confirmed.

Just speculation that they will be putting in DVC in Barbados.

Although Disney hasn't said anything, they don't until pretty late on, they have filed permits with the South Florida Water Management District for Project 88 at Caribbean Beach on which is shown new buildings of which some will be built on top of existing buildings which will need to be demolished. You can read the permit if you do a search at my.sfwmd.gov/ePermitting/PopulateLOVs.do?flag=1 putting project 88 as project title and then you can download a 35mb document with the plans in.

In that case sounds good for both DVC and CBR as a whole, resort is massive so could do to be split up a little. can only seeing it effecting preferred rooms in Martinique in the short term. we plan to stay here in 2019 and it wont be putting me off, the opposite infact less guests in the food court and on the busses.

I phoned disney last week to extend my stay at cbr in August and queried any work being done and was told it was just adding a new drinks and food outlet at Trinidad and would be finished before August!

That work should be finished by the end of March.

My guess is that until it's officially announced that Disney staff either won't even know about it or will not be allowed to talk about it and only be able to give out information of any official works.
