Short stay parking at Premier Inn North Terminal

My Sister is giving us a lift down to the airport and I don't want her to just have to drop us and go after a two hour drive, and would like her to have dinner with us at the hotel/airport before having to drive back home. We are hoping to stay at Premier Inn North for sheer convenience, but there is no short stay parking, and the nearest is at Gatwick short stay which costs £19.50 for up to 24 hours. Can anyone tell me if there's a way around this? I really don't want to have to pay £20 for 2 hours parking!

Thanks, the website is very unclear. It says it's free at the top and then a chart of prices underneath

There is short stay parking, 3.50 for 30 mins. Can't find prices for longer. It's done on a ticket on entry, pay on foot before leaving basis.

You can park in the long stay car park free for 2 hours. We noticed the sign for that when we parked there in December.

See the info in the light blue box on the link above.

If going for a meal at the PI North Terminal i doubt that 2 hours would be long enough to do two bus journeys too and from the carpark and eat. It's meant more for dropping off and collecting, not having a meal.

Maybe a quick cuppa in the Costa in the lobby, but i doubt that a meal could be done, very busy restaurant, and not the quickest. Good food though.

Where did you find it? At the top of the thread, perhaps where it has already been posted!

Thanks. Looks like we'll have to stick with the holiday inn and get the shuttle in the morning 😔
