UBER Payment

Does anyone know if Uber in Florida now accept cash payments? I read somewhere that they were starting to accept cash payments in certain states in America and it would be across all of America at some point.

It's just that we've got all of the money we intend to take changed into Dollars so don't really want to have to use our debit card when we get there.

We linked our clarity card to it when there. Very simple you don't need to have the card with you it's all done through the app. Unsure about cash but when we go this year I will still be using the cashless payment as I don't like carrying too much cash with me.

We'll be using Uber later this week and paying through the app. Is it usual to also tip the driver?

I asked the same question, I won't be tipping, I think a high star rating is what they want more.

I was reading up on that and no, you don't have to tip the drivers. They just want 5 star ratings as UBER closely monitors their drivers ratings.

We tipped the drivers most of the time and they seemed genuinely surprised. I figured its half the price of using mears so why not give the driver a couple dollars?

We don't tip when using Uber. Always give a high rating if it's deserved - which 99% of the time it has been . I find the drivers much friendlier than your standard cabbies in Orlando.
