Pleasure. You can also disable them completely from the app and you can have more than one card with the account if a couple of you want to just run everything from the same account.

I do like the sound of these cards and so far have found FairFx good to use, so I will weigh up the options. I do like the flexibility of Revolut and the fact you can leave it in Sterling or commit to a reasonable Dollar rate.

We have to pay some of our hotels on arrival so hopefully they'll be OK if we don't want to use a card for actual payment or incidentals.

Yes as long as you don't use the card for paying for the hotels you'll be fine . Several hotels I've been in do have signs up saying if you use a pre paid for debit card a hold will be applied which can take up to 2 weeks to drop off .

Yes :-)

But if you ask them to turn off incidentals and pay in cash you shouldn't need to hand a card over I never do .
