Question would you stay at a hotel with building works if the price was discounte

With all the talk of the building works schedule for disney would it really put you off staying at a particular hotel esp if the cost was discounted?
We're hoping to rebook for next year and I'd like to stay onsite for at least part of it but with the poor exchange rate the prices aren't great.
Now I know a lot of dibbers are looking to move resorts due to the confirmation of works so wondering if that means they will offer discounted prices on the resorts involved? Last time we went I got a fantastic deal on the BC as they were doing renovations so wondering if it worth considering a resort I wouldn't usually pick and that has works going on if the saving was good enough?

We stayed at WL back in 2014 while the whole pool/beach area was being refurbished. The room rate was discounted by about 20% for our dates.

You can also book WL at a discounted rate for this year, due to the continuing work on the DVC teepee-bungalow things. I am tempted - we weren't disturbed at all by the works the last time.

For the two weeks we're looking at (in October) WL prices out cheaper than POR.

It's definitely something to consider. Good luck!

I would yes, we were looking at either CSR or CBR for next year, and to be honest building work doesn't bother me, we live in a really busy part of West London and by the Heathrow/RAF Northolt flight paths so used to noise and building works so it doesn't really bother us.

We would love to stay in a Deluxe resort but I don't think our budget will stretch, so if either of those are discounted I would be more than happy to stay there. As long as we have a pool, we would cope!

We were at POR in 2012 when they were doing the room refurbs. The buildings under construction had drapes covering them, which matched the exterior so you could hardly notice from a distance. They did not start work early and it was finished usually before we got back in the evening. While work has to be carried out I think Disney are better than most at doing it.

I personally would, the hotel is basically just a place to sleep for us, we're up and out early and back late so we'd never hear it.

last time I got a wk at the bc for less then por is currently priced at for next yr so total bargain would love to stay there again but the budget def wont stretch to current prices. Neither are resorts I'd usually look at as we love por but if they are discounted it could be a good saving. We don't spend a lot of time in our room & as long as there is somewhere to eat & a pool for the kids they'll be happy

Yes I would if the price was right.

(What I'm not going to be happy about though is if we end up paying full price to stay on a building site having chosen a resort based on facilities on offer)

I'm not sure I would. If I had the choice now of a 20% discount to keep our booking at cbr with a make do foodcourt and building work or be able to move to an equivalent room at por/fq I would choose to move.

If building work was going on but wouldn't disrupt us maybe.

If building work came with associated closures of facilities like food options, pools etc no way!

That's definitely somewhere I would be more than happy staying at haha especially if its heavily discounted like that!

We're very much the same, as long as there is a pool to use, my kids are happy, even if the food court was out of action it would bother us that much because there are plenty of other places to grab a bite to eat in Disney and we only used the CBR food court twice when we stayed there, so it wouldn't be a deal breaker. Be very interesting to see the pricing in april wen/if DDP is released to see if it reflects any building work!
