I think this is good. The bag checks are sometimes so quick that they are laughable. I wouldn't mind waiting an extra five minutes if it means there is less chance of a nutter being on the loose!

If it keeps us all safe then I am up for it.

Saftey must be the over-riding factor.

I've never noticed, but I do sometimes post on another Disney forum based in America, and the amount of guests that are in the parks with guns is frightening

I am all for this, a theme park, especially one such as Disney, must be right up there in terms of potential targets and the 'bag check' is laughable at best.

They scan your bags at DLP and no-one seems to mind, I guess it's just the norm now and unfortunately the world we live in.

About time! With the American gun laws this will hopefully stop them slipping in, in the back pockets of the odd person.

Nobody over 14 are allowed to wear costumes on the halloween party dates at all now so teenagers aged 14 don't get to enjoy the parties properly now not worth going to them anymore if u can't dress up for it

In 2012 a bloke on the boat going across to MK had a big black holdall i said to the wife you could carry 4 or 5 AK47s in that bag.
The thing is no one would stop someone until they get to bag check.
If there where a couple of them i dread what they could do with a load of arms.
