Tell me about Thomas Cook

Hi, I am looking to booking my Florida holiday in the next week or two. We have been to Florida several times, flown with Virgin and Thomson. Looking at Thomas Cook for next year. What are they like, any info would be welcome

We have used Thomas Cook for the past 5/6 years and have booked with them again for next year. We have never had any issues with them. Flights are fine, great leg room now the planes are refurbished. The in flight entertainment is good although you need to pay an extra £4 each for the full package of movies. We don't do airline food so I can't comment but it looks and smells like any other airline food. Staff always have been nice and friendly. We have only had one delay in the last 6 years and that was due to someone taking ill just before take off and the Thomas Cook flight crew where really professional in dealing with it. We have in the past flown with Virgin, Delta and American Airlines and Thomas Cook are just as good as any of them. We check prices each year and have never been able to do the holiday cheaper than Thomas Cook which is the main reason we have returned year on year. I think its like most things in life some people, like us will have great experiences and I am sure others may not be as positive but you get that with everything.

Our experience flying with them was positive. Flight was on time, plane was clean, we liked the 2-4-2 configuration. Also the food on the way out was pretty good (for aeroplane food anyway!). In flight entertainment wasn't great but hey ho, at least it wasn't overhead screens! We would fly with them again

We have flown with them a number of times and had no issues. Planes were clean with a decent seat pitch. Food was good, James Martin on the outbound flight. We paid extra to upgrade the in flight entertainment which was worth it and we also used the sun down check in at Manchester airport which was fab. Personally we find them to be one of the cheapest options and great value for money.

We flown with them in September and couldn't fault them and was roughly £600 cheaper than Travel City Direct was offering for the same break.

We flew with them last year and had no problems at all, staff were great, plane on time (actually early arriving back). We are looking at Thomsons next time as the flight is closer to home and Thomas Cook dont fly fro there but would recommend them to anyone

Have just booked flights with TC for the second time. Flew with them in September, and all was fine. I personally found the seats quite uncomfortable but leg room felt generous. Staff were pleasant enough, gave my son extra ice-cream and bought the kids meals out first so that they could settle down to sleep..also we had about an hour delay so I reckon they did it as they knew the kids would be getting hungry as the adult food took ages to come out. All in all no complaints, plus flights were cheap which is my biggest priority.

Does it make any difference depending which airport you're flying from with TC? Using them next year for the first time and flying from Stansted.

we flew from Gatwick in premium in September and it was great for the price. We paid £1800 for 2 weeks at all stars sports and premium flights both ways. Seats are most comfortable i've sat in for that class. Food good. Service and entertainment not as good as BA world traveller plus. i would have no hesitation in booking with them again for that price. Only thing I would say is they are great when everything goes well, communicating with their 'customer service' is challenging.

We flew Thomas Cook this year. We flew out premium and back Economy. Premium was really great, but I think seats back in Economy were more comfortable. Bags first off in premium really didn't make any difference out because of border control queues. In flight entertainment as others have said, not as good purely because of less choice compared to other airlines, but if you just restrain from watching a few current releases just before your holiday you'll be fine. Alot of the kids had ipads/tablets as back up, but were also watching TC option. Food was good. Free drinks in premium. £50 each to upgrade. Personally this is worth it for whizzing through security. Staff friendly. Flights on time, late leaving, but we made up time and were early! We were also given free in flight entertainment upgrade because we were late boarding coming home. I would recommend and would use again 👍
