At SSR right now. Had maintenance person out to replace batteries in door lock and she said 1 building has people in it and the 2nd is nearly done, she sort of said it’s in the snagging phase.

She also said they are seeing some common issues is the first building that they’ve (maintenance) have made suggestions for subsequent buildings.

Didn’t say which buildings though.

We come most years and have never found any rooms to be bad so not fussed about refurbs.

That makes a lot of sense to me as I knew building 2 was nowhere near ready when we left nearly 2 weeks ago.

New builds always get issues as we all know but in my view the Contractor should be doing the snagging between 9 and 5 and Maintenance outside of those hours.
Adopting that approach leads to higher standards and the identification of common faults.

If Building 2 isn't released this Month they will struggle to be out of Congress by Xmas.

YT. More great pictures thank you. I have 3 issues.

The minor one. The TV is too small

Where is the table to eat at? I can't be eating on some wooden box people have had their feet on.

Why is the sink on some god awful legs and then on a plinth? Most bizarre

Finally I know which room this is!

I wish they had refurbished the studios with a choice of bath or separate shower cubicle, like Copper Creek. Baths are no good for us.

I think the box/ extending table is the only option in the studio to eat at. Dettol wipes!

My only request is that they put the toilet paper holder in a better position, so that you don’t need to be a yoga jedi to twist and reach it!

What about the pump dispensers by the bath!

If people bath they invariably face the tap so the dispenser is behind you!
If people shower they tend to face the shower head for the bulk of the time and again the dispenser is behind you but also too low to reach easily

Logic says put it on the side wall near the tap end. Or my choice would be to consign it to the tip as they are unhygienic.
