I don’t mean this to offend, but if the only ‘relationship’ you have with this person is one of sending gifts, I’m not sure I’d be bothering at all.
Unless, it’s not their choice that things are like this of course.

As for gifts at that age, my 14 year old son would want money as he likes to save up and buy things. It’s mostly technology these days.

Thanks, I do see your point but I just don't want to do that due to family politics. I want to send a gift.
Everyone has given me some cracking ideas though, thankyou x

I completely understand, but I no longer talk with their mother (not my fault or wish), but they are my family. I also don't want to be the one to do something divisive like not buying them birthday gifts, when I always have.
I do want to pull the value down though, both due to my financial situation being different, and some issues around the family politics.
I won't be sending money

That’s a shame, family relationships can be hard 😞

There are some good suggestions on here. As I said, my 14 year old would always prefer money, but things we do buy him are gift sets like the ones mentioned and also T-shirts and hoodies in the brands he likes and he’s always happy to receive those too.

Mitch, TKMaxx have some great gadgety things for boys in at the moment. Do you know if he likes gaming at all? My ds got a great pair of wireless gaming headphones for £20 in there last week. They look a lot more expensive that £20 too.

Smellies, headphones, designer pants, power banks all go down well here.

Hollister, Superdry, Adidas, Champion all go down well too.

How lovely that you want to maintain contact.

If you did ever want to go down the voucher route, iTunes, cinema, pizza hut etc are all good too.

My son is 13 and my nephew is 15, soon to be 16. They can be very particular at that age. So aftershave and clothes can be tricky unless you see a lot of them and know what size clothes and aftershave they use because they are such a personal choice type of thing.
How about a goodie bag with antiperspirant deodorant, under amour socks (or Nike etc), portable charger, chocolates, sweets, puzzle like Rubix cube

A decent power bank would always be welcomed by my kids.

They are gold dust in this house as people keep half inching them.

Amazon with a gift receipt works delivery and present in one go.
