Dreaming, Then The Beach Club Day 3

Day 3 Sept 3rd

We were woken at a stupid hour by the dawn chorus, aka the Child of Satan in the next room, so were up earlier than usual for us and headed over to the food court for breakfast - omelette for Russ, and Pumpkin Spiced Beignets for me. We knew that because of the hurricane, the parks and Disney Springs were all closing at 2 or 3pm today - and we decided to go back Disney to Disney Springs to get an Arribas figure that we wanted, so we hopped on the boat again. It was windy but still hot, and hard to believe the damage that Dorian was causing! Some restaurants had closed all day, and both Starbucks were closed. We got our Arribas figure (Goofy) and checked out the World of Disney and the art shop etc, and somehow ended up in Wine Bar George with beer, cocktails and shared some hummus for lunch. We'd been told that the boats were stopping at 3pm so we headed back to POFQ. Later we found out that DS had stayed open till 8pm but the boats still stopped at 3pm.
We finally had a proper look around the resort - there are some lovely little gardens and quiet sitting areas, and we continued walking down to POR for a proper look around there, and hey - found Muddy Waters for drinks and a sandwich. In the lobby we found Goofy and Pluto and CMs providing entertainment - and once back at FQ Donald was running riot in the lobby. The staff were doing a great job as the resorts were busy due to the parks closing. No one knew if the food court would be fully open for breakfast, so we bought pastries and fruit for the morning, and arranged for Bell services to transfer our bags to the BC next day. It's been a funny few days - with making extra bookings, not having park tickets etc, and I haven't even unpacked yet! We feel as if our holiday starts properly tomorrow even though we have enjoyed Port Orleans and would stay there in the future.

Our first onsite stay was POFQ and we loved it. However, are staying at the Beach Club for our next one, I cannot wait.

We love it there! This was our 8th stay there and next year is booked. It will spoil you for other resorts though

Nice day we were staying on Idrive at that time and we're going to SeaWorld but it was closed so went shopping instead.

First time we've visited those resorts at all, and they are really nice.
