Anyone been to this yet? Planning on doing it fir our trip in September. How easy is it to get tickets? They seem to be free but only available 2 weeks prior to the date you want to go? We plan to walk the high line while in this area.

I'm planning it for our trip next year. The only alternative to the free tickets you can book 2 weeks in advance is paying 10USD per person for a "Flex Pass" which not only allows you to specify a date several months in advance, but also allows you to arrive at any time on that day. The free ones seem to sell out about a week in advance, so as long as you are able to do it two weeks ahead, you'll probably be fine, but you're tied to a one hour window (windows start every 10 minutes though).

We done this back in May got free tickets two weeks before it was ok more of a photo opportunity really, it’s next to a shopping mall but there wasn’t a huge amount in the mall tbh

We're in New York at the moment, we visited the Vessel a few days ago. We booked tickets in advance as we didn't want to be pinned down to a specific time but just a specific day. We walked from Chelsea Market along the High Line which was extremely busy compared to last year when we visited. There was no queue once we reached the Vessel however as our son is a wheelchair user we had to wait in line for the elevator. DH and other son walked up and waited for us at the top, they had a long wait as the elevator only moves every 15mins. An hour later we eventually made it to the top, I'm glad we did it as there are some lovely views and we took some amazing photos but don't think we'd visit again. While we were waiting for the lift to the ground level I mentioned to the operator that maybe there should be more info on their website about accessibility. When we got down to the ground level we were given free passes to visit again which was a very kind gesture, as we left there were some disappointed people who hadn't been able to get a ticket so we handed ours over to them. The shopping Mall nearby had some lovely shops, some very expensive ones but also a few more affordable.

We did this last Tuesday, we really enjoyed it. DS14 didn’t want to go all the way up so he waited halfway up. Views were good and we are glad that we have done it, but probably wouldn’t do it again. We found the High Line really busy too.

We’ve booked it for this Saturday. We’ll be at the high line anyway so looking forward to climbing it! Not sure if I’ll go right to the top though!
