Im glad i live in Gods country here in the North. Because im not sure id be putting up with these silly people blocking my way to work, or to do my daily shop or enjoy my time.

Mind you... you silly southerners need to give your heads a shake. Stop allowing it to happen. Take a stand. Or stamp on their pee bottle so it explodes over them.

Manchester is in the North.

Not much we can do when Greater Manchester Police and the council facilitate the closure of Deansgate.

I'm in Glasgow which kinda makes God's own South... *ducks*

They hit up here during the summer holidays in the city centre. Police Scotland had then designated officers to patrol bridges and other roads for the day.
My mother & I were having afternoon tea at a hotel and were watching them for a couple of hours and walked past them as we left. My mother being my mother jokingly asked if they had nothing better to do than walk back and forth over the bridge for the day. They laughed and said honestly, no, that was their turf and weren't allowed to leave.

I get they have an important message and I would love to see things chase but I sincerely hope that no one is affected by any action that may take place. Have great holidays everyone!

ER disappointed with media coverage supposedly.
First day was reported on national and local TV news but nothing after that.
Maybe a new government strategy to discourage protests longer than that ?
After all if the protests don't make the news there is probably not much point hanging around for four days.

Greta's team must be disappointed with UK media coverage too, hardly anything really.

I saw some footage of Greta being ‘paraded’ through New York after being met by supposedly hoards of well wishers .
I couldn’t put my finger on it , something didn’t look right with her , she was completely dead behind the eyes and not looking at anyone and definitely not even cracking a smile .. she’s 16 ... surely she should have at least one parent with her .
It looked “off” and I can’t explain why .

Greta has Asperger’s, so, as she said, she appears different to others.

All the more reason for a 16 year old thrust onto the world stage who Says she has also suffered from an eating disorder which would also make her vulnerable.
And by her own admission in a recent interview stated she is ‘so exhausted her brain isn’t working properly “ have a parent ensuring she is not being monopolised and pushed to breaking point .
I do not question her ideals , and if it makes one leader step up and change things all the better .
But pushing an overwhelmed child into this melee is concerning .

Limiting news coverage is probably quite effective . Or it may be after one day with nothing changing the media just lost interest and had other stories to cover ?

Quite frankly I don’t think the public were that interested in it one bit. People go on trips like this for charity, fun or other ways to raise awareness all the time - hardly news worthy imho

If I hadn’t seen it on hear I wouldn’t never have known and I am a news junkie
