When we were there in August there were large queues once inside before it opened where people were held at ropes till opening.

However there is a “hidden” rope that was practically deserted right by the pool by Crush n Gusher. If you go to the far end of the locker area there is a sign on the wooden wall pointing to the Crush n Gusher. If you go round the corner you can go almost right up to the seating area before you are held for opening. There was only a dozen or so people there compared to huge crowds at the other nearest rope. As a result I was able to bag 4 loungers under a parasol straight away and way ahead of my husband who was waiting in the other queue.
