Coach trip NYE? Disneydash
Has anyone done this where you travel by coach overnight have the full day at Disney and then come home?
I was looking at this for NYE. If you have done it was it doable? Are the parks rammed and unpleasant? Also we won’t have NYE tickets so I know we get to stay in the park til a certain time but is there a Christmas parade in the day? Lastly what shows do they put on in the studios? TIA

Ill be honest, that doesn't appeal at all. An overnight drive in a coach means you will arrive tired and achey and then spend a day in the parks at the busiest period. My colleague did a coach trip to Disney a few years ago and it confirmed I would never do it, it wasn't a great experience for them, but I don't think it was an over night one as they arrived late afternoon and left early evening the next day.

This is what I’m thinking so after opinions like yours for ppl who have done it or know ppl who have. Someone might come on who has done the overnight thing. Just think I’m desperate to see Mickey

I have done a Disney dash trip before but it was during Halloween season in 2017, around 20th October. I actually found it was alright, yes it was tiring but I wanted to do a day trip as a novelty and I just ploughed on for the day to make the most of it.
I caught the coach in London from the Green line station around 22:30, they used the ferry rather than the tunnel. We arrived in Disney around 7:30 in the morning, had the full day and left after Illuminations finished, around 22:00. Seeing as they sell the New Year tickets, it looks like they will be leaving sometime after that has finished, so you will have a very long day. If you’re the sort of person who is prepared to make the most of your time and is okay with sleeping on a coach, it is doable. |

Hi, we've done it twice but with a midnight pick up so not as long on the coach as you. It was fine, they put a film on to watch on the coach as most people were too excited to sleep. Adrenalin keeps you going on the park day and then most people slept on the way back. I would do it again but maybe not at such a busy time.

Ive done it, years and years ago. Odd experience having a g and t on the ferry at two am! It was exhausting, but doable, would I do it again? Possibly, i have looked at it recently, but I would rather have a couple if days to enjoy the parks (there was only the one when I did it!)I personally wouldn't go for special/specific day like new years eve. Please bare in mind it was twenty years ago I did this so how much weight you give to my opinion is debatable😂 xx

Thanks everyone... I would just love to go for the Xmas lights and parade really but they only seem to the NYE one but I know this will super busy. I would love to go for a few days but as soon as you are a family of 5 it’s 2 rooms and gets costly!

Gold Crest do a slightly longer trip with hotel, see this link.
gold-crest/t_new-yea...land-paris.php Have you priced up doing your own trip driving over? A Disney Dash looks cheap but with a number of people, you might be able to beat there price. |
