Changing BA flights ?

I'm keen to book our 2021 flights but DH employers are being very strict with holidays.
We can only go on a fixed date which is Sat - Sat, flights are Ł1k cheaper if we can go a few days either side 😥
I have found a ok price if we go on the Sun and back Sat (land Sun) so losing a day of our holiday but works out cheaper.
I know BA has a option to change flights free of charge so if I book and flight prices drop for the Sat could I change the flight ?

I've called BA who were not very helpful and said no as flexible booking for flights is only up to Dec 2020.
I've read t&c it says a BA holiday is flexible within our dates.
If I book flights and add one day car hire is that classed as a holiday ?
Or is a fly drive a holiday ?
Cant find the answer anywhere,thanks

No it isn't. BA flights that include car hire count as a package so only a deposit is payable. Next year I dont think their are any deals to change your booking which I think you will have to pay for. Booking BA flights and a 1 night hotel (whether you stay there or not) also counts as a package so only a deposit is payable.

I book an airport hotel and flights and it's counted as a package. I'm very impressed with BA. I should be in Orlando now. I received my refund 2 days after they emailed me to say I'd be getting it.
