Mobile Virgin LHR to Tampa via ATL

Hi guys,
We have booked for19th August a fly drive with Virgin via Atlanta.
I have 2 question, would this be on Delta plane? We have 2 hours 20 mins to get through immigration and connecting flight, is this long enough?
Thankyou guys :0)

The first flight could be either VS or DL as they both fly direct LHR-ATL. If your departure time is 10:10 it will be a Virgin A330-300, if it's 12:10 or 14:55 then it will be a Delta 767-400.

The second flight will be with DL, normally a 737-900.

The connection time should be fine, the advantage of ATL-TPA is that there are several flights a day so if you miss your ongoing flight they should be able to get you on the next one (subject to availability of course)

We did this route last August - almost the same dates and almost the same layover time, we found the airport very easy to navigate and immigration moved very quickly, we were sat waiting for our next flight in under 45 minutes - but we did check and there are Virgin or Delta flights almost every hour to Orlando from Atlanta, so if you were delayed you stand a very good chance of getting another flight fairly quickly
