Mobile Space mountain DLP

Hi dibbers,

Just wondering how different space mountain is to the WDW version?
It’s just me and my mum going to DLP this December and she doesn’t like rides that drop loads or go upside down! She will do space mountain in Florida though!
I’ve heard that this version is a bit different - any advice would be great
Also I’ve had a look on closures and it is saying the ride is open on the 1st December but shut 2&3rd... does anyone know if it’s getting a refurb or anything!?

Any other ride tips- ones that are a no due to large drops or upside down, would be great!

Thank you

Hyperspace Mountain in DLP is more akin to Rock n Roller coaster than its little Floridian Space Mountain cousin.

It launches fast, has loops inversions, star Wars theming and is generally awesome

It's likely to be down only for scheduled maintenance.

As blustery has said.
My whole family love it. I don’t - it makes me feel sick every time I ride it. Love(d) Rock n roller coaster though (and gutted it’s gone).

It's great but does go upside down. You sit side by side in twos. It's dark like space mountain but you see lights etc from star wars and I'm sure it plays star wars music. I love it

There is a single rider queue ... Never waited longer than 15 minutes to ride even with 90 min wait times on standby. Have fun!

I thought it was great, but it made me feel sick and shaky afterwards because I don't really do coasters! It has a loop and corkscrews and is very intense and fast, plus because it's in the dark you don't know where you're going or what's going to happen. My face felt like it was going to fall off! lol

Big Thunder Mountain is much more my style.

This is my trying-not-to-look-terrified face. I'm the bald one. lol

Haha thanks for sharing it made me chuckle! I don’t think this one is for my mum as thunder mountain is more her style too!

My DD went on a college trip a to DLP earlier in the year. She hadn't been since she was about 18 months with us but has been to WDW a few times. Her friend has never really been on many roller coasters and doesn't like anything too scary.

DD, thinking of Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom, told her friend there was nothing to worry about. Her face on the ride photo tells a different story
