Hi all, does anyone know if BA charge for seat selection when flying PE?
Seems to be conflicting information around the internet. Thanks, Gav

Yes, BA charge for all seat selection.
Seat selection becomes free 24 hours before the flight. I think some card status (Gold?) might mean you can book before 24 hours.

The simple answer is yes, BA charges for advance seat selection in all cabins except First, but there are a number of exceptions.
These are: > Free from time of booking: BA Exec Club Silver status and above (or oneworld airline equivalent), anyone with a fully flexible (usually expensive) ticket, anyone travelling with an infant, and those with an eligible disability. On some flights/aircraft/cabins, certain seats are blocked for Gold and above members, but most seats are available to others who are eligible for free advance seat selection. > Free from 7 days before the flight: BA Exec Club Bronze status (or oneworld airline equivalent) > Families with children under 12 in the party will be assigned seats which can be viewed 3-6 days before travel, but you'd have to pay to change them before OLCI. Everybody else pays for advance seat selection, except in First class where it is free to all passengers. As mentioned above, seat selection becomes free when OLCI opens, to all except those on Basic Economy tickets. Edited at 02:18 PM. |

We just booked BA PE and prices to pre book seats are between £55-£72 I think. A large amount if there are a few of you.

We paid £35 each and used some Avios points.
Bit of a rip off considering you pay a higher price for PE🤨
