Thomas Cook Connecting Flight - Belfast
Hi all,
Hoping someone here will be on the same boat as I am and able to help! I am just back from Cancun and flew on a flight only booking made with Thomas Cook online. The booking was a connecting route from Belfast to Manchester to Cancun (return). The Belfast - Manchester (return) portion was operated by Flybe but, booked with Thomas Cook. We flew to the outbound route successfully but, Thomas Cook collapsed whilst we were in Cancun & Flybe removed us from the flight back to Belfast as they claim to have not received payment from Thomas Cook. We then booked a flight from Manchester to Belfast with Easyjet as it was cheaper than the Flybe option we should have been on. Does any one know how I go about getting refunded the cost of our Easyjet flight home? I spoke with the CAA while we were in Cancun who said we would be reimbursed but I'm not sure how to claim as the original booking was not ATOL protected (flight only) and I don't think I should have to claim on my travel insurance policy. I cannot speak to them now as they are only taking calls from those who are abroad currently. Any help you guys can offer is much appreciated! |
