Seats on Virgin 747-400
I have flights with Virgin out of Gatwick next year. I need to book my seats in Premium in the way out and economy on the way back. It’s giving me the choice of lower or upper deck. Which is best and which seat numbers are best in either section? Thanks 😊😊

On the way to Orlando, the best PE seats, in my opinion, are in Row 19. No one behind you, the seats still recline and one of the first off the plane. We're in that row in February

The consensus of DIBB opinion over the years is that 19 A&C are the best in PE. They are on the lower deck. As PP says they often let the front row port side of Economy out first to avoid congestion at the door but after that 19A&C should be first off. Downside is they are often last for food choices.
We had to rebook our spring 2020 trip after TC failure. We booked on that Monday lunchtime for mid-week flights outside school holidays and those seats had already gone on both legs. Mick

Thanks. I’ve managed to snag 19A and C on the way out 😊😊 what about economy on the way back? I’d like to try the bubble which are £35 each more than downstairs or isn’t it worth paying the extra money for those?

I’ve booked 19A and C out, and 79A and B in the bubble coming back 🎉🎉 I got caught up in the TC mess and have had to rebook flights so now just relieved that it’s all done and I can start feeling excited about my holiday again 😊 Going to see if I can get the ticket price difference from my credit card company next. Hope everyone else gets sorted soon if they were in the same position 🤞🏻😊

I booked in the bubble after seeing this vid:
youtube/watch?time_c...&v=yEmMTyLqArE I got the seats opposite the people in this vid (row 75 A/B/C), but had to pay extra for the exit row (obviously not an option with kids.) I was umming and ahhing about the bubble but that vid convinced me straight away.

75 ABC are the one's we always book as love the leg room and no one in front of you to recline, also usually get off the aircraft early so helps on arrival in to Orlando to get to the immigration hall before crowds buildup.
