Morning Dibbers!

Well our countdown is coming down nicely,

Since my last update I have secured seats in the bubble - lets just hope we hang onto them! We left dibbers row for Lady Emz and went for row 79.

We have changed some of our plans, we are now being brave and getting the train from Cardiff to Gatwick and back, I have booked the outward journey at £27.20 using a rail card for 2 AD and 2 CH, this works out loads cheaper for us as the car parking alone was more than the train will cost, and thats without a tank of diesel!

Added a few more $ to the fairfx card up to $500 now which is from cashback sites and ebay sales so happy with that

My mind continues to tweak ADR's, I was contemplating cancelling the Mama Melrose Fantasmic reservation and as it turns out, that is the same day the basketball match we want to watch is on, so it looks like that is extra confirmation this is a good plan, so I will cancel this with a view to eating at the boardwalk instead.

As mentioned above NBA finally released their schedule, DH is a basketball nut, we caught a match about 9 years ago but missed out on our last trip due to the lockdown, looking at the schedule the 3rd Nov vs Brooklyn Nets fits best into our schedule, so now we just need to wait for ticket prices and see if its worth it!

I am eagerly awaiting release of November Desert Party booking as want to book for our last night as a surprise for the family, fingers crossed

Just read through your PTR ... your Croatia comment made me lo! What a worry that must have been though, but I am glad you are all sorted now, and wow that is an amazing price! We are running in the 5k race at AK on the morning that day but then also plan to leave WDW for the day as it is going to be busy I think, when we were looking at hotels all DVC resorts were fully booked!

Your plans sound fab, and DP as a surprise on the last night will just be perfect

We are also having dinner at Ohana on the 1st so will look out for you although or ADR isn't until 8pm ... but we will see you in the Bubble! Glad you got the seats you were happy with too Dibb meet in the air!

I can't believe we go next month!

In the last few weeks I have continues to tweak, plan and book,

I have now booked my return travel train tickets at a bargain £27.40 using our family and friends railcard, this is for 2 adults and 2 children Gatwick to Cardiff - so chuffed at the amount we are saving by going by train, our parking costs were more than the train tickets alone

After some drama, managed to book the desert party for our last night, which will be such a nice treat for us all, I was away camping when it became awailable to book and I couldn't get the party number to change to 4 on my phone so had to phone my mum to do it, this still took nearly an hour as donald duck kept popping up and telling her the server was busy, to be honest I gave up, it was only when I checked by app that the reservation was there and then an email came through so one of the attempts must have worked!

I have therefore cancelled my california grill ADR which was my backup,

I have 1900 Park Fair booked for dinner at 4.30pm do you think this will work well with the desert party at 8? Lunch isnt an option as they don't do a lunch!

So there is now not much left to do, Basketball tickets don't get released until beginning of Oct so can't book these yet.

I have continued to get some clothes for holidays, I am sticking to maxi dresses and have managed to get some nice ones from Primark, the girls now have quite a lot of disney t shirts, so need to put a stop to anymore spending!

Just need to may off my Universal Tickets, I have the money saved just haven't got round to ringing, also need to print everything off and put it all together in my planning file!

Wow that's a great price for your train. Least I could find cardiff to heathrow with a railcard was still over 100 and that was for 2 adults and 1 child so have booked parking instead. Well done on your bargain.

I cannot believe our countdown

me and the girls are very excited DH is beginning to get fed up with all the disney/holiday talk

I don't know if anyone else suffers from this, but as the holiday gets closer I get more and more worried about, it, it's like the more detailed the plan becomes and the more real, the more I am freaking out

The fact I am terrified of flying doesn't help matters!

So... In terms of planning I have done a few things, I have booked our NBA tickets for 3rd November against brooklyn nets, I went for the $35 tickets, with tax it was about $160 for the 4 tickets, tbh I am not that fussed about it but DH is basketball mad and he missed out last holiday because of the lockdown.

I have started to buy bits and pieces for the trip including:-

Plasters
Ibuprofen
Paracetemol
Rennie
Calpol sachets
Shampoo/conditioner/shower gel
new tooth brushes and tooth paste


Have got loads of disney type t shirts over the last few months, so no more clothes purchases needed!

I went to print out the outlet vouchers but notice a lot of the dates run out mid oct, so will leave this for another week or so

Its all getting close now seek I have $1550 in cash and another $1000 on fairfx so this should be more than enough given we have DDP

I have got a folder with everything, in , just need to print off some more info, photocopy passports etc but I think, dare I say it, bar packing we are nearly ready to go!
