Our car struck by lightening

Went to Epcot yesterday there was a huge storm and our car was struck by lightening, which made the car go up in flames a total write off, we knew nothing about until we were inthe car park looking for the car to go back to the hotel couldn't find it so contacted security who told us what happened, Disney were fantastic they arranged for transport to get us to our hotel gave the kids some chocolate and sweets and a variety of cuddly toys DVDs and $150 to buy a new car seat for our little grand son, they saw the kids toys etc in the car when the fire brigade came to put out the fire will post some pics when I figure out how to post them
Disney told me its the first time a car has been struck by lightening on there property and they have not seen a nothing like the devastation caused by it. Thank god we were not in the car when it happend

That's a bit scarey, so glad you were not in the car and so nice of them to give the kids cuddly toys.

OMG! That is just so awful but as you say could have been an awful lot worse. You are all safe thank goodness. I hope the car hire company are as quick to respond positively as Disney were.

Oh my goodness! That's terrifying! I always thought being in your car was a safe place? ! Obviously not! That's put the fear in me driving in storms over there now! Glad Disney were so good with you and you are all safe.

That's awful but looks like Disney dealt with it well.
